Free Cakes for Kids Doncaster is part of a national network of volunteer groups who share a simple belief: every child deserves a birthday cake.
We are a free and confidential service offering to bake free birthday cakes for children who would not otherwise receive one. This may be due to financial reasons, illness, bereavement, or any other difficult circumstances a family may be facing.
Our amazing volunteer bakers donate their time, skills, and ingredients to create beautiful, personalised cakes — from unicorns and dinosaurs to footballs and princesses. Every cake is baked with love and delivered with a smile.

- Referrals from professionals (health visitors, social workers, teachers) are also welcome

Is the service really free?
Yes, completely! Our volunteer bakers donate their time and ingredients. You will never be asked to pay anything.
How far in advance should I request a cake?
We recommend getting in touch at least 2 weeks before the birthday to give our bakers time to prepare. However, we'll always try our best to help, even at shorter notice.
Can I choose a theme for the cake?
Absolutely! Let us know your child's favourite character, colour, or theme and our bakers will do their best to create something special.
What about allergies?
Please let us know about any allergies when you make your request. Our bakers will do their best to accommodate dietary requirements.
